I am Mrs. Fontenot, and I've been in education now for seventeen years. I was born in Long Island, NY and moved to the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area where I attended elementary school, middle school, and my freshman year of high school, before moving to St. Louis, Missouri where I graduated high school from. I attended the University of Missouri, where I earned my degree in elementary education. I began teaching in St. Louis, then moved back to the D.C. area for a year and taught there, before ending up here in Wake County where I'm entering into my seventeenth year of teaching.
I am married and have two children. My oldest son is in 4th grade here at Wakefield Elementary, and I have a younger son who will start kindergarten here this year. My family means the world to me. I love teaching, and I love being a mommy! :)
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, going to the beach, to the movies, crafting, reading books, playing games, and watching basketball (especially when it is my son playing).
I am happy to be a part of the wonderful Wakefield community that is here. I look forward to continuing the journey I am on here at WES, and look forward to all the relationships I will build and the many lives that I am allowed to be a part of.
I look forward to another awesome year here at WES and the great group of students I am blessed with.
